Dear friends and valued colleagues,
MATA is happy to announce its Fourth International Conference for translators and interpreters. The overarching topic of this year’s conference is “Novelties in the Translation and Interpreting Industry”. Technological advancements shape the work of today’s language professionals and help translators and interpreters find out more about their limits, abilities and possibilities, about the health implications of these professions and about possible new forms of business association. We will hear about the neuroscience of simultaneous interpreting, the new challenges in audiovisual translation, the protocol for translators and interpreters and when and how to salute and address dignitaries, translators cooperatives, automated term creation, internships and mentoring, novelties in the European language industry and much more! The Conference will take place on 1-2 October 2016 in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia.
